Savr Recipes Mobile App
Collaborating with the Savr Recipes mobile app team, I've channeled my passion for cooking to enhance the user experience, focusing on accuracy and ease of use. Recognizing common pain points such as recipe timing, step organization, learning new cooking techniques, and preparation guidance, our mission is to empower fellow home cooks like myself to effortlessly create delicious meals.
I conducted a comprehensive week-long modified Google Ventures design sprint, a five-day process for answering critical business questions through design, prototyping, and testing ideas with customers. Utilizing an agile process infused with design thinking principles.
In my capacity as a UI/UX designer, I initiated the project with a challenge-driven design brief. This framework guided me to redesign and prototype the user interaction for the recipe feature within the Savr Recipes mobile app. Subsequently, I rigorously evaluated these design iterations through usability testing, striving to optimize the app's usability and overall user satisfaction.

Recently, Savr has seen some negative reviews in regards to complicated recipes, timing, the order of steps, learning new techniques, and other feedback around preparing the meals. -Timing is clearly shown for users. -Tabs are used so users can easily find ingredients, directions, and equipment needed. -Instructions are organized by steps in the process. -Video tutorial feature added to give visual clarity of how things are progressing and learn new techniques. -Preparation screen gives the user and idea of what they can prepare before cooking.

-Completed lightning demos (comparative company research). -Crazy 8's Exercise. -Solution sketch.
Day 3
Creating a storyboard

I created the storyboard by using the map I created on Day 1 of the challenge. Starting in the kitchen the user would open the Savr Recipe app from the app store of their phone and find a new recipe to try on the app. Once a recipe is found, the user looks at the recipe and gathers all the ingredients; if they need to shop or find an alternative in the recipe, the user has options within the app, from the recipe screen. The user would move on to the preparation stage of the app, which has time e
